7 Pin to 7 Pin Trailer Extension Lead

7 Pin to 7 Pin Trailer Extension Lead

Specifications

Harness Connector

7-pin plug

Product information

This coiled 7-pin extension lead lets you run trailer or implement lighting further from the tow vehicle, with a 7-pin plug on each end so it drops straight between existing connections.

Coiled from roughly 0.65 m up to a full 4.5 m extended, it keeps slack out of the way when not stretched, and retracts once the trailer or implement is disconnected.

Dimensions and installation

  • Connector: 7-pin plug at both ends
  • Coiled length: approx. 0.65 m
  • Extended length: up to 4.5 m
  • Wire gauge: 0.5 mm²

Tip: the coil naturally shortens back down when not stretched, so route it clear of moving parts like the drawbar or PTO before towing off.

Compatibility

Fits any trailer, caravan or implement using a standard 12V 7-pin connection at both ends.

If you’re unsure whether your setup uses a standard 7-pin plug, contact us before ordering.

Also suitable for other machines?

Yes — the standard 7-pin trailer connector is used across a wide range of trailers, caravans and farm implements, not just tractors. Contact us if you’re not sure your setup matches.

Why the coiled design and length range matter

Coiled design:
A coiled cable stays clear of the ground and moving parts during normal towing, only extending when the trailer or implement needs the extra reach, rather than dragging loose cable behind the machine.

0.65 m to 4.5 m range:
This range covers both close-coupled trailers and longer or offset implement setups, so one extension lead handles most jobs without needing a second, longer cable.

Frequently asked questions

How long does this extension lead reach?
It coils down to approximately 0.65 m and extends up to 4.5 m.
What connectors are on each end?
A standard 7-pin plug at both ends, so it drops between your existing 7-pin connections.
Will this work with any 7-pin trailer setup?
Yes, as long as both ends use the standard 12V 7-pin connector.
Why is it coiled instead of straight?
The coil keeps slack cable off the ground during normal towing, only stretching out when the extra length is actually needed.
